Litigation
As a matter of principle, disagreements should be resolved amicably. Already at an early stage, guidance and assistance of an attorney-at-law can provide swift relief, thus avoiding time- and money-consuming further disputes.
However, if no solution can be found, court litigation is often the only way to obtain justice. Based on facts and the legal situation, a strategy is developed with the client and the risks and chances of success in litigation are carefully assessed. In court, I represent my clients according to the principle “tough in tackling the issue, polite in approach”.
Administrative Law
Be it an issue with immigration authorities, a traffic fine or questions relating to environmental law, the client’s case is analyzed in detail, available options and chances of success are weighted before and during the whole procedure, be it before Federal or State Administrative Courts, the Supreme Administrative Court or the Constitutional Court.
Real Estate
Selling or purchasing or donating real estate? It will be my task to draw up the respective agreements and to handle their execution up to registration at the land register. This may also imply my acting as a trustee, ensuring effective communication with the other contracting party, banks, courts and authorities. In cases where another attorney or notary has already been appointed for the drafting of the contract, it is my role to monitor their activities and advise my clients throughout the entire process.
Furthermore, I offer advice and assistance to my clients in all matters of tenancy and housing law as well as in disputes with neighbours.
Estate Planning
Well-pondered estate planning in the event of the client’s demise is the best precaution against disputes within the family, which in the worst case can even lead to the loss of the estate’s assets. I offer advice and assistance in the drawing up of wills or designing alternative means of estate planning.
Contract Law and Company Establishment
Contracts (or agreements) are the central instrument regulating legal relationships both in business and privately. The parties’ wishes are just as important as clear and practicable wording. In a nutshell – a properly drafted contract is the best way to avoid time-, nerve- and money-consuming disagreements in the future.
The founding of a company requires a special form of contract – the Articles of Association, which are my task to draw up according to the parties’ needs, followed by the registration of the new company with the commercial register.
